Bowls Australia (BA) are pleased to announce an addition presenter for the upcoming ‘Bowling The Australian Way’ – Coaches’ Conference from October 24-25 at Mermaid Beach Bowls Club. Joining an already esteemed selection of guests is Tim Mahon, General Manager of Team Performance at Commonwealth Games Australia.

Tim is a highly experienced and proven leader in sports management and education.

During his time in High Performance sport, Tim has demonstrated an ability to lead organisations and campaigns to achieve performance outcomes.

He has worked at the Victorian Institute of Sport (VIS), West Australian Institute of Sport (WAIS) and Sport New Zealand as HP Program Director, and at two National Sporting Associations, Modern Pentathlon and Shooting Australia as HP Manager.

Tim will be speaking on Thursday, October 25 on the topic of ‘System Alignment and Integration’, which is a core theme for the conference. 

The emphasis of the conference will be on High Performance coaching but is open to all BA registered coaches.

Sessions on the green will provide you with practical ideas to take back to your coaching base with other sessions to provide the latest in research on lawn bowls and some insight into the Australian High Performance program.

Dates – Wednesday, October 24 to Thursday, October 25

Venue – Mermaid Beach Bowls Club, Gold Coast, Queensland

Cost – $80 – 2-day conference inclusive of; access to all presentations, light refreshments and lunch, dinner at Mermaid Beach BC (Wednesday, October 24)
