BowlsLink’s unscheduled maintenance on January 30

On the evening of Saturday, January 30, the BowlsLink system became unresponsive due to an unscheduled maintenance, approximately between the hours of 8.00pm and 10.30pm AEDT.

There was intermittent access during this time, which affected the results portals and impacted the ability to login and enter results.

The cause of the issue has been identified as an overload on resources, exacerbated by additional servers failing to start, which resulted in a system failure.

Bowls Australia and the State and Territory Associations are working with BowlsLink’s developers to ensure that this issue is mitigated in the future and additional resources are available when required.
