Clive Adams announced as WA’s Regional Bowls Manager

Clive Adams joins an illustrious group of current elite level players that hold positions across the nation as Regional Bowls Managers – including the likes of Mark Casey and Barrie Lester. Western Australian bowls stalwart Clive Adams has been appointed to the role of Regional Bowls Manager for metropolitan Perth and selected country areas.
 
Adams, a member of the Cambridge Bowling Club, began playing bowls at the age of 11 and is an established state player in Western Australia representing his state on numerous occasions and is a former Australia A squad member.
 
Among his career achievements, Adams’ highlights include winning the Australian Champion of Champions Pairs in 1999 and a making the semi-final of this year’s Australian Indoor Championships where he was defeated by eventual champion, David Holt.
 
Adams rates being an inaugural member of the Solargain Perth Suns in the 2013 Australian Premier League as one of his career highlights and he will be suiting up again with team mates Jeremy Henry and Tom Mitchell at the 2014 renewal at Club Pine Rivers in November.
 
Adams is also a member of the Bowls WA Membership and Participation Committee and is a part-time bowls contributor to the state’s weekend newspaper, the Sunday Times, for the past eight years, and also appears on community radio station, 89.7FM’s sports program Talking Sport.

Prior to joining Bowls Australia, Adams has spent the past 19 years employed at ABB Australia in a variety of roles but most recently as a Team Leader – Systems displaying great loyalty and commitment to the roles he undertakes and has tertiary qualifications in Computing and Mathematical Science.
 
Throughout his career, Adams has acquired strong stakeholder relations through experience including extensive project management and working with a diverse range of clients enabling him to be able to adapt to changing environments and personnel in his roles to date which have been heavily focussed on customer and client satisfaction.
 
Bowls Australia believes the skills and experience in his professional career, as well as his playing experience on the green augurs well for Adams to succeed in the role of Regional Bowls Manager.

“Bowls has been a major part of my life since I was 11 and the growth and development of both players and clubs is something I am hugely passionate about so I can’t wait to start and be a part of the future of bowls in WA.
