Hear the cheers with Audika

Ageing is often associated with gaining wisdom and experience. However, as we grow older, our hearing can start to decline, making it more challenging to enjoy the activities we love. For example, if you enjoy playing sports and socialising at your local Bowls Club, hearing difficulties can detract from the overall experience, leading to frustration and isolation.

Thankfully, there is a wealth of options for managing hearing loss available to suit all types of listening needs. By taking action to address your hearing difficulties, you can continue to stay connected to the people, sounds and activities that matter most.

Audika is a leading hearing health provider that offers FREE hearing checks to anyone over the age of 26. As part of their commitment to improving the hearing health of Australians, Audika has partnered with Bowls Australia; a partnership aimed to promote the importance of healthy hearing among bowlers, their loved ones, and the wider community.

As part of the partnership, Audika and Bowls Australia work together to provide access to quality hearing health care to the Bowls member network. Right now, if you host an “Audika Screening Day” at your next Bowls event, we will donate $250 back to your club. Audika will provide a hearing care expert to conduct free hearing checks to anyone 26 years and over. Apply here.

Audika has also developed a free, downloadable Guide to Hearing Health, which provides information and resources on how to maintain healthy hearing, as well as advice on what to do if you (or a loved one) are experiencing hearing difficulties.

With over 3.6 million Australians1 currently living with some form of hearing loss, partnerships like this are crucial to ensure more people hear better.

Hearing loss affects people of all ages. It is important to have your hearing checked routinely, as you may begin to experience age-related changes to hearing from as early as around 50 years of age.2

Helping a loved one

  • Is your loved one having difficulty following conversations?
  • Are they turning the TV volume too high?
  • Do you often need to repeat yourself?

If you recognised any of these symptoms in your friend or loved one, they may be experiencing hearing loss. Download Audika’s FREE Guide to Hearing Health to read tips on how you can address the situation with them.
